Our one-day Emergency First Aid at Work course gives you the practical skills and confidence to handle real-life emergencies in the workplace. Designed for lower-risk environments like offices, shops, and call centres, it’s hands-on, engaging, and built to help you stay calm and capable when it matters most.

The course covers the following subjects:
 

• Roles & Responsibilities of the First Aider (including health & safety regulations)

• Assessing an Emergency Situation & Prioritising Action

• CPR / how to find and use an AED

• Unresponsive Casualty (Breathing)

• Defibrillator

• Choking adult

• Seizures

• Infection Prevention

• Severe Bleeding

• Shock and Internal Bleeding

• Burns

• Minor Injuries

• Stroke & Heart Attacks (optional content)

• Assessment

Duration

This course provides 6 hours of trainer led practical training excluding breaks as per the HSE guidelines. At our training centre, our courses run from 9.30 through to 16.45, please aim to arrive at least 15 minutes before the start time. For training at your place of work, we can deliver this training at times to suit you and your staff, including weekends, evenings and over night courses.

Certificates:

All our courses undergo a rigorous quality and compliance review before certification is issued. We aim to provide e-certificates within 5 working days of course completion. Hard copy certificates are posted within 10 working days of qualification.

All courses and certifications are fully aligned with the latest 2025 HSE guidance.

Certificates are valid for 3 years.
