2025 Community Engagement

Our teams this year have been out supporting local Community Events. On some of those events our teams have been delivering FREE first aid awareness training in the forms of CPR demonstrations. So far in 2025 our teams have delivered this awareness training too:

Knutsford Picnin in the Park

On Sunday 14th September our teams braved the rain and attended Knutsford councils picnic in the park. A free family day out for the local residents. Unfortunately the great British weather had other ideas and the rain was continuous through out the day.

Our team still delivered some community demonstrations and taught 26 people how to do CPR.

Hatton and District County Show

 

 

On Saturday 13th September our team was at the Hatton and District County Show. They were the primarily to provide first aid to the event, but took along some training kit as well.

During the day they managed to deliver awareness training to 25 people on how to do CPR.

Bolton Bubble Rush

On Sunday 7th September, our team was out providing medical cover Bolton Hospices bubble rush event in Queens Park, Bolton As part of the event the team were also delivering CPR demonstrations, and was having really good engagement until the rain came and washed everyone away!

Our team engaged with 32 people during the event.

Restart the Heart Whitehead Park Family Fun Day

 

 

On the 7th September our team joined forces with Restart the Heart Charity to support with another one of their free family fun days, this time in Whitehead Park in Bury.

Unfortunately the weather was not on our side today, and the heavens opened up during the middle of the event and poured rain on everyone.

However our team still engaged with 23 people through out the day.

Bryns Big Weekender

On Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st August our teams supported Restart The Heart Charity with their free family fun weekend, with an aim of raising money for public accessible defibs. Our teams were on hand to provide first aid if required, and to deliver community engagement with Free CPR demonstrations.
Whilst the weather was not on our side over the weekend, with rain on both days, our team was not put off and still delivered training to 92 people.

Glaston-Bury

 

 

On the 25th August 2025, Bank Holiday Monday, the people of Bury came out to enjoy Glaston-Bury. Burys very own music festival to raise money for Bury Hospice. With 6 stages delivering live music, and multipe venues hosting their own entertainment, it certainly was a full day of entertainment for the whole family to enjoy.

Our team were there providing first aid cover, and during the day they were also delivering CPR demonstrations. 74 people engaged with the team on the day.

Picnic in the Park, Frodsham

On Saturday 23rd August, our team supported Frodsham Council with their free family fun event at Castle Park in Frodsham. Our team provided the first aid cover for the event and took time to engage with the public in delivering CPR demonstrations.

The DJ did not miss an opportunity and had the team deliver a session in the middle of the field for a group of people.

An absolutely amazing day, with 101 people directly engaged.

Bingley Pride

 

 

Bingley held their first Pride event on Saturday 16th August, which started with a march through the park. They used Bingleys Arts Centre to host a day of family friendly activities and information stalls. A good first event, which will hopefully become an annual event in the Bingley calendar. Our team engaged with 12 peoples at this event.

Chadderton Fire Station Open Day

On Saturday 9th August, as part of our giving back to the Community, our team supported Greater Manchester Fire & Rescue team at Chadderton Fire Station open day, by providing free CPR demonstrations. 
As usual, the Fire Station hosted a busy and fun free community engagement day, which had lots of partner organisations engaging with the public and fire safety demonstrations by the Chadderton crew.​

Our team delivered awareness training to 367 people on the day, making it the biggest Community Engagement day we have delivered.

Wythenshawe Games


On Saturday 2nd August and Sunday 3rd August our team supported the medical cover at Wythenshawe Games, a free family weekend of free sporting activities to try out. Our team brought along their training equipment and offered free first aid demonstrations to anyone who wanted to learn a life saving skill. Was a busy weekend for engagement for the team at Wythenshawe park who engaged with 321 people, which were mainly children.

The Romiley Young Farmer Show


On Sunday 27th July, the team supported the Romiley Young Farmer show. This was a brilliant family fun day, with all sorts of activities that everyone could get involved in. There was also some amazing stunts performed by the Broke FMX Motorcycyle stunt team.

Our team engaged and delivered awareness training to 310 on this event, setting a new record for the most people engaged on one event.

Family Fitness Festival


On Saturday 26th July, the team were in Blackburn at Witton Park supporting the annual Family Fitness Festival. This annual event promotes healthy life styles, and has opportunities for people of all ages to try out new sporting activities.

A busy day for our team who had a steady flow of people of all ages coming to learn a new life skill. In total our team delivered awareness training to 110 people at this event.

Rochdale Classic Car Show


On Sunday 20th of July, the team braved the rain and supported the annual Rochdale Classic Car show. A fantastic annual event hosted by the Rotary Club of Rochdale.

 

The team engaged with a number of people on the day, but a big shout out to the local Sea Cadets who got involved to learn a new skill. In total our teams trained 24 people on this event.

MFest


On Friday 11th July the team provided first aid cover for MFest at Moore Primary School. A family fun evening for the children of the school, their friends and family. Hosted annually each year.

 

As part of the support the team also provided free first aid demonstrations. On this short event the team trained 39 people with a new life saving skill.

Millys Smiles Fun Day


On Saturday 17th May, the team were supporting Millys Smiles Charity, at their annual Millys Smiles Fun Day. A very busy event with lots to do and lots to get involved in. The weather was certainly on side with clear blue skies and the bright sun. Our team engaged and trained 30 people in CPR.
